09.13.07 Cake has a new location.
Recently, I went to my favorite bakery, Cake, to pick up a couple of cakes for a birthday party. The address is 184 E. Evergreen Avenue, and like the Top of the Hill Market, it's located in Chestnut Hill in the parking lot off of Germantown Avenue. 
I go there regularly, two or three times a week, to buy muffins, scones, croissant, and other pastries which are all fantastic. I won't specify my favorite I'll let you decide for yourself, you won't be dissapointed.
The cakes that I purchased were $20 a piece. They were both 9 inches in diameter and were two layers. One was a vanilla cake with chocolate icing and choclate mousse between the layers. The other was a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and mocha mousse. They were incredible. Whenever we serve their cakes we always receive great compliments and inquiries about where we got them.
Cake also serves lunch, which I've never had, where they serve salads, soup, and sandwiches. If you go say hello to Nancy, Deborah, and or Gray from me.
