I went to the Top of the Hill Market yesterday for a take-out lunch. It's located at 185 E. Evergreen Ave. in Chesnut Hill. It's off of the Avenue (Germantown Avenue) behind the bank on the corner. There's usually a sign, located at the alley that leads to the parking lot behind the bank, that lists the day's specials. I go there a lot because they have a lot of variety and very good quality.
I ordered a tuna fish on whole wheat with lettuce, tomato, and a slice of cheese.
And, a turkey club on white bread with lettuce, tomato, no toast. Total cost was $13.00. There sandwiches are a very good size. They have recently started roasting the turkeys in their kitchen which make the turkey clubs very tasty.
They have a small salad bar, soups, and a variety of cooked dishes made fresh everyday. I particularly like the mushroom barley soup, turkey and corn soup, and the saute chicken. They have outdoor seating, and a small counter indoors. They are open Monday thru Saturday from 8:00am - 6:00pm, and 10:00am - 4:00 pm on Sunday.
